THEME: Scaling Climate Action Through Impact Investing And Blended Finance.

KID2023 is being organised with the aim of uniting social businesses, impact investors, development organizations, ecosystem partners, and NGOs under a shared goal. This event will spotlight proactive climate solution-based businesses in Uganda, in order to foster support, investment, and partnerships for their initiatives.
By providing a platform for climate-focused social enterprises, KID2023 advances awareness of impact investment and blended finance’s pivotal role. This event aims to catalyze collaborative action, scaling climate financing and driving sustainable solutions, propelling us toward a resilient future.
By advancing SDG 13, we firmly believe that the proactive measures taken to combat climate change will have a ripple effect, positively influencing other critical SDGs like SDG 1 (No Poverty) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth).
As we proactively address climate challenges, opportunities for employment expansion arise, as climate focused initiatives demand a dedicated workforce to reverse the adverse climate impacts on our nation.
Additionally, by fortifying partnerships to achieve these SDGs, including SDG 17 (Partnerships for Goals), which aims to enhance implementation methods and invigorate global collaboration for sustainable development, will be actualized.
