How Green MSMES Can Leverage Strategic Partnerships And Collaboration To Drive Scalable And Sustainable Growth.

Kampala Impact Day (KID)

Kampala Impact Day (KID)is an annual business networking event celebrating impactful social enterprises organized by Entrepreneurs for Entrepreneurs (OVO) and Einstein Rising to improve the visibility and garner collaborative support of social entrepreneurs in Uganda.

KID is a hybrid event that brings together ecosystem players like Social Businesses/Entrepreneurs, Incubation hubs, Investors, Government, Private Sector, Development Agencies, CSOs and the general public etc. to collaboratively pave way for the future of Uganda’s social business startup ecosystem

KID Background

Each year since 2021, Kampala Impact Day (KID) has emerged as a flagship event, uniting entrepreneurship ecosystem builders under one roof to celebrate innovation, brainstorm sustainable solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges, and foster impactful collaborations. This vibrant gathering brings together social businesses, impact investors, development organizations, ecosystem partners, and NGOs, all committed to driving meaningful change.

Organisers

Einstein Rising is a full-service social enterprise ecosystem builder ensuring the development of a network of sustainable community-focused initiatives with our primary guiding principle being the triple bottom line: people, planet & profit. We leverage social entrepreneurship as a tool in the hands of young people, so they build the futures they want to see. Our process of molding marginalized youth through practical skills training, work readiness training, entrepreneur acceleration, and investment facilitation has and continues to drive the social enterprise revolution in Africa.

Ondernemers Voor Ondernemers (OVO)is a non-profit organization which firmly believes that stimulating entrepreneurship in these countries will have a strong economic and social impact. Cooperation and partnership with key stakeholders in this ecosystem are an absolute must. For this reason, the programme “Sustainable Technology for Africa” was launched in 2018, involving the participation of actors like VITO and Thomas More University of Applied Sciences. This involved coaching being provided to African entrepreneurs for a week, making it possible for them to be included in the OVO investment portfolio.
